Why can't men just make up their minds?!?!?! :P
Posted: Jul 14, 2008, 2:59 PM CST

Okay...here is my question...why can't men just ever make up their minds and stick to the decision?!?!?! confused sigh I just don't get it!!! frustrated You are with someone you love and says they love you but they can't seem to stay.
This is a really long story...some of you know all the details but just in general I was wondering what people think. If a man loves a woman and says they want to be with them, but then leaves for whatever reason, yet KEEPS coming back time after time! dunno It makes no sense to me. If you love someone as much as you claim; even if you are scared of change or hurting others...why would you still stay in the other situation and try to keep coming back to the one you really obviously want and need?!?!? frustrated
Sorry if this is confusing people....let me try and elaborate... Say you are in a relationship that you are unhappy in, yet you also have a relationship w/someone who makes you smile, laugh, and love to have fun. You have tried to leave the situation at home you are unhappy about, but didn't try too hard since all heck broke loose so you stayed and tried to be happy w/out your other great relationship. After a few months you come back to that wonderful person you say you love and can't live w/out....then when crud hits the fan again you leave the great woman and try to stick it out...a few months later you come back AGAIN!!! sigh dunno frustrated You can't seem to make the commitment for a number of reasons and you KNOW you can't have your cake and eat it too...but yet you still keep trying since you are too scared of changing or something. You know things will hit the fan eventually again and it will blow everyone's lives out of the water like it has before and so instead of being honest and dealing w/it...why do you wait?!?!? D'oh!
Does anyone know what I mean??? Does anyone have any ideas??? Sorry if I didn't explain this well enough...it is a very long crappy story. I was just wondering what other people thought about this...

From what I can gather from what you have written the person is probably doing it because he can. He is saying that he is going back because "all heck broke loose" but in reality he is going to you when "all heck breaks loose" and returning when the storm calms down. It pretty much sounds to me like he is using you as a way to get out of having to deal with the real problems of the other relationship. To me the only way to really end the current cycle is to walk away until the other person can 100% commit to you. dunno

Sorry if it seems a little harsh or short sited.... just going off the info provided... I hope things get better for youhug bouquet of flowers

Been there, done that and the best thing you can do is walk away with your dignity and self respect. Now I dont know you but, I can tell you that if he loved you at all he wouldnt leave you and come back and leave and come back and so forth. If he loved you he would stay. Harsh truth, and only my opinion....I hope it gives some insite for you. bouquet of flowers

K not all men are like that, I went through some very difficult times with my wife and was always there. We went through her going into congestive heart failure at work, by the time she got to the hospital by ambulance her face was blue and I thought I was going to lose her right there. This was in 2001 that fall she had a new heart valve put in, I told her you really need to give up the job, she would come home after 4 hours and she was totally exhausted, it was just to much for her. She gave up the job and I took on a second job so we could afford the meds, I was working 70+ hour weeks. After 4 years of fighting social security in the spring of 05 she finally won , In the fall of 2005 my best friend left me for her place in heaven, she suffered a major heart attack the day before our 18th wedding anniversary. Why did I tell this story to you, I want you to know there are some men that do take their wedding vows seriously and will do just about anything to keep thier loved one alive as long as they can. The person your talking about isn't a real man, he's a selfish asshole, dump him find one that treasures you, the man you speak of wants his cake and eat it to, your wasting your time with him because he is playing games and not worth it.scold Thats my best advice, hope it will help...
